After seeing recent success with its new Icon internal pushfit product for DN100\/4\u201d pipes, Flexseal have invested into widening its entire range of Icon\u2019s.<\/p>\nFlexseal have recently been using their knowledge and expertise within the pipe connections industry to solve common problems in innovative ways. The Company which have been supplying couplings to the UK market for almost 30 years have been proactively seeking innovation opportunities to help add new value to its supply chain, including merchant partners.<\/p>\n
After seeing recent success with its new Icon internal pushfit product for DN100\/4\u201d pipes, Flexseal have invested into widening its entire range of Icon\u2019s.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve looked at the most common problem pipes within the industry and based the range around our findings.\u201d Commented Ben Beatson, Product Development Manager for Flexseal. \u201cThe 6-inch to 4-inch adaptor Icon Pushfit was a really popular talking point and we\u2019re proud to now add that to the range along with the 6-inch straight internal pushfit connection\u201d continues Ben.<\/p>\n
The entire Icon range has been designed to be used when a pipe is too difficult to connect using a traditional coupling. These situations often happen when a pipe have been encased in a hard material such as concrete, meaning the contractor would need to chip away the material to fit a coupling to the external surface area, a time consuming and labour intensive job.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Icon internal pushfit couplings can be installed within 30 seconds, which when compared with other methods is a huge saving on time for the contractor and thus project costs can be significantly reduced.\u201d Commented Ricky Hasprey, National Sales Manager for Flexseal. \u201cThe addition of the 6-inch sizes to the range opens up the benefits of the product to more of the market and provides more opportunities to our merchant partners too\u201d continues Ricky.<\/p>\n
Flexseal have also announced that it\u2019s more mechanical version of the Icon, which covers the larger civils market, has also been improved with the addition of more sizes, covering pipes up to and including DN600.<\/p>\n
