Bushes B & Multibush MB

The purpose of a bush is to increase the outside diameter of a pipe to be connected if the pipe is too small for the coupling used. Fernco bushes can be used as an additional component in a connection with couplings & adapters or fittings. The bush fills the cavity between the outside of the pipe and the inside of the coupling.

Product Information

If no adapter coupling is available at the moment or if no adapter coupling may/cannot be used due to the increased requirement for shear stability, then compensating bushes can be used when connecting two pipes. A bush is used to adapt the outer diameter of a smaller pipe to the outer diameter of the larger pipe. Two types of bushes can be used:

Bushes

Bushes can be used to balance two pipes with different outside diameters if the dimensions of the pipes are known.

Flexring

A Multibush can be used if the pipe size or material is not clearly identified.

Bushes

Fernco Bushes are used when there is a considerable difference in the diameter (more than 10 mm) between the pipe ends to be connected and no adapter couplings are available or cannot be used by increased demands on the shear stability. The bushes are available in sizes 4, 8, 12, 16, 24 and 32 mm.

Flexible Multibush

The patented Multibush, in conjunction with the respective coupling, solve nearly every connection problem in the specified nominal range.

The Fernco Multibush combines three standard bushes into one product by allowing the user to fold the product into di erent thicknesses. This is ideal when it’s unclear which pipe materials need to be connected as it will connect pipes of any standard wall thickness. For example a 100 mm Multibush can act as a 3 mm, a 6 mm or a 9 mm bush and connect a clay to PVC, clay to cast iron, ductile iron to twinwall and many more.

The Multibush is available for nominal sizes DN 100, DN 150 and DN 200.

FlexPack/FlexPackPlus

With each of these sets (DN 100, DN 150 and DN 200), you can connect quickly and inexpensively all sewage pipes of the corresponding nominal width.
Two diff erent connection sets are available for each nominal width:

FlexPack

This set always consists of one Multibush and one coupling of the corresponding nominal width. This connects all sewage pipes of this nominal width with a stone pipe of this nominal width.

FlexPack Plus

This set always consists of two Multibushes and one coupling of the corresponding nominal width. This connects all sewage pipes of this nominal width to one another.
