Since 1995, the satisfaction of our customers has been our top priority. For us, standing still means going backwards, which is why we are constantly looking for new ways to improve our customer service, develop new products, optimise processes and develop our employees. This ongoing process ensures that we increase and improve our effectiveness and add value to the markets we serve.

As a European market leader, we distinguish ourselves by acting transparently and communicating openly. With this in mind, we are proud to announce that we are changing the name of our company and expanding our product range to reflect the global strength of our parent company – Fernco.

I would like to share with you some important news. I am very pleased to announce that we will be changing our name in Europe from Flexseal GmbH to Fernco GmbH.  This change will take place in the coming weeks.

For over 30 years, Flexseal, as part of the Fernco Company, has been the trusted and proven brand in the construction and drainage market, synonymous with engineered solutions that bring significant benefits to installers and end users.  As a company, our customer-centric values are paramount in all of our business relationships and it is in this spirit of openness that I would like to share this news with you today.

By rebranding Flexseal to Fernco, we can offer you a number of benefits, most notably the speed with which we can bring new innovations to market. By combining our global resources and expertise, we are strengthening our research and development capabilities while maintaining our absolute focus on the German and European markets. Being part of a strong, well-resourced global family has underpinned Flexseal’s culture since its founding in Germany in 1995, and as we continue to evolve as Fernco, we remain fully committed to further growth and expansion of our manufacturing capabilities in Germany.

As the European market leader, the decision to change our name and link our business more closely with other Fernco Group companies is a bold one. I’m sure you will have many questions for us, but in the meantime, I want to personally assure you that our customers remain at the center of every decision we make.  My colleagues will be in touch with you to formally discuss the next steps.

In closing, I look forward to continuing our close relationship and forging even stronger ties in the coming months.

Managing Director and President of the European Business Units

Here are the answers to some questions you may have…

We made the change in July 2022. our local markets.

The quality and integrity of our products has been the foundation of our success for over 20 years, and as Fernco we will continue to produce the same high quality product in exactly the same way.  The name on the label will change, but the product will remain the same.  From an innovation perspective, by unifying our global research and development capabilities and sharing knowledge and insights, we will be able to bring new products to the market faster.

IFAT was a great opportunity to communicate directly with many of our German and European customers.  Customer feedback and the market insights helped us in the launch of the Fernco brand.

We have plans to further expand our R&D department.  As we develop the Fernco Group’s sustainability roadmap, we will increasingly draw on all R&D teams around the world to leverage their skills and resources for a robust new product development strategy.

All Fernco products have unique characteristics that cater to the markets they are designed for; this is largely determined by regulations and local market requirements.  While we have no immediate plans to integrate Fernco Group products into the German range, we will continue to be agile and flexible, adapting our product range to the needs of the ever-evolving market.

Our production priorities remain focused on Germany and Europe, and we are proud of our “Made in Germany” status.  We have an ongoing investment program that is strengthening our production capacities to meet the growing demand for our products.

The brand transition has been extensively planned and we will work closely with each customer to provide maximum support during the transition period.

We are changing our name to Fernco, but the product remains completely unchanged.

The technical data sheets will be updated to reflect the new Fernco brand, but the data will remain largely unchanged.

The structure of Fernco in Germany remains unchanged.  Under the leadership and guidance of our Managing Director, Michael Penalver Giar, we will continue to strengthen our position as Fernco.
