German drainage networks are made up or varying pipe sizes and materials, some old, some new. Its common knowledge that the outside diameters of the same DN size pipes can be dramatically different. However, it is sometimes assumed that the internal diameters are the same, and in the most part that’s true; advances in technology have allowed pipe manufacturers to gain greater control in the output. Nonetheless, Germany still has a vast network of old pipe lines that differ in terms of the internal diameters.

To ensure contractors have a solution for small differences in internal diameters when connecting to the internal surface of pipes, Flexseal can offer a 4” Icon Pushfit range of couplings that will connect any DN100 drainage pipe material. The size differences outlined below ensure installers can create a reliable, permanent watertight seal.
