Product Information

Adaptor Couplings are made from three component parts: one stepped moulded EPDM rubber body with two different diameters on each side and two stainless steel clamp bands, which when tightened create a secure connection.

These simple yet effective connectors can be tightened onto pipes using a nut driver and torque wrench, creating a permanent airtight and watertight seal in just seconds.

For which situation is the adapter suitable?

Adapter couplings should only be used for connections without shear load requirements, such as due to uneven compaction or when there are no live load requirements. In these cases, you can install one of our type 2B sleeve seals with the corresponding compensating rings. The stainless steel shear band integrated there gives the joint additional protection against shear loads that could lead to misalignment of the pipes.
